Re: hpe 1620 reset password
Hello oso_togari2,
You can use the botware menu as described to bypass the configuration and then load the configuration.
Botware config is reachable as described on page 10 of the following document:
https://support.hpe.com/hpesc/public/docDisplay?docId=emr_na-c04511331
Another links to password recovery:

https://support.hpe.com/hpesc/public/docDisplay?docId=emr_na-c03716367
Hope this helps!

Re: hpe 1620 reset password
hello @-Alex-
thanks...at last i find a good window to do it!!
i execute the first doc "clear super password"... but this seems to only: "By default, no super password is required for switching to a higher user privilege level." .....or maybe it reset the password to a default password? (i try blank and admin but no luck)
so, i cannot log in yet.
the other 2 procedures, makes me a little nervous because i think i dont have a backup of the config, and are not really procedures for a 1620...

Re: hpe 1620 reset password
Hello @oso_togari2 ,
When you are at bootware you should use
<6> Skip Current System Configuration Start the switch with the factory default configuration. This is a one-time operation and does not take effect at the next reboot. You use this option when you forget the console login password.
As it is written on page 10. This is bypassing the configuration with the password. Then you should load it from the saved configuration. But before saving the configuration it is good to copy it and then make sure it is fully loaded in the current config so that you do not override the saved configuration with blank configuration. You should be able to see the saved configuration once in the switch menu.
Hoper this helps!
