HPE 5510 Layer 3 sub-interfaces 802.1Q encapsulation

Hello,

I would require to interconnect different HPE5510 devices with L3 trunk interfaces to other vendors ex. Cisco. Is this supported ?

best regards

Hi,

When you say L3 trunk, do you mean Router aggregation interface.

Generally there will be no restriction when connecting other vendor devices to either L2 or L3 interface unless both sides are using standard protocols and not proprietary

Thank You!

Well looking at the equivalent creating subinterfaces with encapsulation dot1q nnn on cisco nexus devices for example.
