Inter Vlan speed issue
Hello,
I am currently facing inter vlan speed issues with HP 3800. When accessing devices on the same vlan, there is no issue and approx speed on 750 Mbps speed. But when accessing devices on another vlan, speed drops to 60 mbps.
Can someone please help me.

Re: Inter Vlan speed issue
JV,
We need a lot more information to figure out what is going on.
1) Are you routing within the 3800? Do you have IP addresses assigned to the VLAN's?
2) If the 3800 is acting as a Layer 2 switch only, what are the speeds of the uplink to the router? How far away is the router?
3) Are the devices in the other VLAN connected to this 3800 or are they on other switches?
If the traffic is leaving the 3800 then your speed will be dependent on the uplink speeds and how busy your network is. Keeping traffic in the same switch and VLAN will always be faster unless that VLAN is just very busy inside the switch.
