IRF Configuration issue with HPE 5510 Switch

Earlier I have configured IRF between two 5510 switches. It is working fine. Now i have removed all configuration and want to do IRF stacking with only one DAC cable. I have done configuration  , but when i connect dac cable second switch rebooted and its stack port going to ADM down. When i enable stack port with undo shut , it again rebooted and again port gone to ADM down. Please help me on this issue.

Both switches are running the same code version, right?  If it was running before it should be running again.  If you display logbuffer, anything in there that could be a clue to the issue?

Can you go back to the previous IRF setup, add the DAC ports to the IRF-port groups, and get that running.  When it is running well, you can remove the previous IRF ports and the IRF should run fine on the DAC cable. 

FYI... with only 2 switches, you only need one link between the switches.  In 3 or more, we recommend a link from the first to the last one to prevent an IRF split.

In case of 2 links connected in cross all IRF ports will go down?
