Hi,
We are already using JD374A and need to expand. Found that JD374A is already EOL and JH149A is only option.
My Question is
1. Can we Stack JD374A and JH149A.
2. Is the Same Fibre Module Work in JH149A.
Solved! Go to Solution.

SolutionHi,
My Question is
1. Can we Stack JD374A and JH149A. -- I believe 'No' because JD374A is running on comware 5 and JH149A running on comware 7.
2. Is the Same Fibre Module Work in JH149A. -- I believe this is also not supported.
Can you please log a case with support so they can check feature enhancement is posiible for JD374A?
Thanks!

Re: L3 Switch
Hi Shijuganga!
Sorry, but the answer is that you cannot do that. In order to IRF switches they must be in the same family running the same code version. If you just want to connect the switches together as a trunk and run VLANs over it you could do that. Obviously, you would need to have the same connection type and speed to do that.
The other issue is that Comware 5 and 7 are very different. CW7 is newer. As I said above, the code version must match and only newer switches run CW7.
Regards,
David
