LACP Over MEtro -E
Hi Everyone,
Has anyone configured LACP over layer 2 Metro-E from two different ISPs? What is your configuration/best pratice?
I have two H3C 10500 R1205 link over layer 2 Metro-E. I configured dynamic LACP, but it did not work, but it seems working ok with the default static LACP
What about LACP period for each interface member: should it be short or keep it at default?
Have you using this LACP in the production? Any problems?
Regards,
TN

Re: LACP Over MEtro -E
Your LACPDUs are probably beeing dropped at the providers, that's why it works statically.
I would probably try and find a different solution to this though, maybe two routed links with VPLS if you need L2 transport.

Re: LACP Over MEtro -E
Fredrick,
Thanks for your expert response.
LACP static seems to work well, any disadvantages of LACP over VPLS? I see all of the advantages of LACP such as simple configurations and lower cost; in addition, LACP 802.11ad is as old as earth... so it is probably more reliable.
Best Regards,
Trinh Nguyen
