packet capture on tunnel
I need to see traffic going through a tunnel just to prove that certain traffic traverse through it , I want to use wireshark for the purpose
Tunnel source is configured as a vlan interface, now I'm not sure where to configure mirroring, on the tunnel itself, vlan interface or physical interface within that vlan

Re: packet capture on tunnel
Hi,
Please look closer Remote SPAN feature.
"HPN Comware 7 supports different types of traffic mirroring such as SPAN, RSPAN and ERSPAN."
What platform do you have / Comware version?
Mike

Re: packet capture on tunnel
talking of 5900 running Version 7.1.045, Release 2311P05
And I'm not sure if you got what I meant.
I'm not asking how to configure port mirroring, what I need to know is which interface I should take the capture from in order to see traffic that is send through the tunnel interface

Re: packet capture on tunnel
I have no experinece if you can run monitor session commands to Wireshark on the L3 ports (both GRE or L3 Vlan interface).
On the L2 port it is pretty easy...
I think on the L3 interfaces you need to use Netstream
