I'm trying to understand the process of recovery a lost aux password on a HP 5120. I get into the boot menu hit option 7 and do the reboot. Then from there I get into the switch I'm able to run the command "more startup.cfg" I can then see my old config and the password is hash. From the instructions I found they say to copy that old config using tftp, but I was wondering is there a way to just copy the startup.cfg into the running one and change my password from there?
