Problem when enabling PoE on 5130-48G-PoE+-4SFP+ (370W) EI JG937A
Hello,
I have an IRF 2 fabric (HP 5130-48G-PoE+-4SFP+ (370W) EI JG937A switch), and I have this error when enabiling Poe on the second switch :
PSE or power source not ready. Check for loose DIMM connection or PSE firmware corruption and verify that the power source has been turned on.
I played this command :
#disp poe device
Slot 1:
PSE ID Slot No. SSlot No. PortNum MaxPower(W) State Model
4 1 0 48 370.0 On LSP7POEB
Slot 2:
PSE ID Slot No. SSlot No. PortNum MaxPower(W) State Model
7 2 0 48 370.0 Off LSP7POEB
# disp poe pse 7
PSE ID : 7
Slot No. : 2
SSlot No. : 0
PSE Model : LSP7POEB
PSE Status : Enabled
Power Priority : Low
Current Power : 0.0 W
Average Power : 0.0 W
Peak Power : 0.0 W
Max Power : 370.0 W
Remaining Guaranteed Power : 370.0 W
PSE CPLD Version : -
PSE Software Version : 0
PSE Hardware Version : 0
Legacy PD Detection : Disabled
Power Utilization Threshold : 80
PD Power Policy : Disabled
PD Disconnect-Detection Mode : DC
Is it normal to have PSE Software Version =0?
I've just updated the Switch firmware, I'm currently running the 3208P16 release and I rebooted the switch but I still have the same problem.
Any ideas ?
Thanks.

Re: Problem when enabling PoE on 5130-48G-PoE+-4SFP+ (370W) EI JG937A
Hello,
Оn the download page, in section Other you can find the PoE firmware file 5130-1950_POE-145
https://h10145.www1.hpe.com/downloads/SoftwareReleases.aspx?ProductNumber=JG937A
The Release Notes, Appendix A upgrading firmware has instruction on how to update the PoE firmware.
https://support.hpe.com/hpsc/doc/public/display?docId=c04796798
Maybe you could try to update the PoE using the full option.
