switching capacity
Please I need undersatand how is this capacity, and how i can use that to select the correct switch

Re: switching capacity
if the switching capacity for instance is 10gbit/sec you need to divid this capacity through the number of port, then you will have the maximum available capacity per port, then you just have to cross check with the bandwidth needs of your attached client/or server computers and you will be able to determine if the swithcing capacity is enough for your needs.
you also can approach this from the other side, calculate the bandwidth needs of your clients and calculate them together.
