Transciver hp jg237a

Hello friends, 

the reason of this post is because i want to upgrade my network from Ethernet to Gbit, so i bought a transciver for my switch HP JG237A but the switch did not recognized the port/transciver, so i would like to know what model of transciver should i have to buy?

Check out the installation guide for the 5120 EI switches. It will give you a detailed list of the various Gig SFP transceivers for that switch.

What kind of fibre are you using? OM1, OM3, SM?

Is it structured fibre cabling?

What is the total patching distance?
