COMPONENT NAME: Enclosure 1, Controller B, Expander , Unknown

Got an alert as below

Alert:

No drive enclosure is connected to this expansion port. This is normal if this is the last (or only) enclosure in the cabling sequence of the system.

- No Action Required.

CONTROLLER ID:# A

COMPONENT BASETYPE: sas_port

COMPONENT NAME: Enclosure 1, Controller B, Expander , Unknown

What should i do ?

Hi,

I believe that the alert is from either MSA 1060 or MSA 2060 array.

MSA 1060/2060 supports attaching additional disk enclosures to it.

The SAS expansion port on controllers is used to connect to additional disk enclosures.

If you do not have any additional disk enclosures attached to the MSA controller enclosure you could safely ignore this alert.
