Controller in a no compaq
I have a smart array 3200 controller with a compaq 10rpm ultra wide
scsi 3 hard disk. I would like to connect them in a clone pc, is it
possible?
I have just tried but unsucessfully. I have bought an SCA 80 to SCSI
68 pin connector and i connect the SA-3200 with the hard disk. At boot
i see the controller testing and then it give me the message no
"logical disk detected".
Post error message 1785.
If i run the array compaq utility i receive
the message no controller present.
Can someone help me?
Thank you in advance
Regards
Gianpaolo

Re: Controller in a no compaq
Don't know about the 3200... I have put a Smart 2/P - Smart 2/D in a 'clone' PC and had it work fine. But the 3200 is probably 64 bit PCI (maybe only 33MHz though), so probably wouldn't do much in a "normal" system.
