D8000 shared between two servers?

If I split the SAS connections from a D8000 to two DL360 servers each with p408e-p cards, would it be possible to have one D8000 volume accessed by server1 and another volume accessed by server2?   If this is possible, I understand I'd have to setup the server OS to only mount the volume it's supposed to get.

Hello,

You may refer to section "Best practices for Smart Array connectivity" on page 19 of the document "D8000 Best Practices" for information on cabling.

@TVVJ

I've looked through that exact section before.  It makes no mention of whether what I asked about will work or not work.

Greetings!

If you are seeking limitations on volume access, particularly across two servers connected to the same JBOD, I believe this configuration needs to be checked at the operating system level.
