DS BA356 question

I received a couple of old Digital BA356 enclosures with assorted IO modules and drives recently from a friend and am having some trouble configuring them. I'm trying to configure the BA356 KD however I can find almost no documetation for these on Compaq's site. I'm connecting it to the onboard ultra wide scsi port on my Compaq Proliant server. I currently am able to see every other drive in disk manager(0,2,4). I believe I have the terminator module and jumper module correctly installed for a single bus. The IO module's documentation states that it is an 8 bit IO Module however it looks nothing like the documentations figures. It is an L shaped module with 7 dipswitches for on and off, an "in" port and an "out" port. I have switches 123off 456on and 7off (like my documentation states). Forgive me if this is elementary but this is my first attempt at scsi devices and addressing. I've tried just about every configuration setting I can think of. Thanks
