easy way to replace current system SAS RAID 1 array with new SATA one ?

first of all: sorry but ... this new forum style is HORRIBLE: 30% space for (over-spaced) titles (what matters) 70% space for what not !

current OS is Windows Server 2008 R2
current system drive is dynamic(GPT) C:

тЖТ from RAID 1 SAS array (SAS HDD drives)
тЖТ to RAID 1 SATA array (SATA SSD drives) ... without reinstalling Windows

since SAS and SATA drives can't be mixed on the same array I guess replacing one drive at a time (allowing rebuild) is not an option

guessing#1: use Windows backup with full system restore, create SATA array, reboot, delete SAS array, restore to SATA one; problems: system restore expects the exact same configuration; ie: same logical volumes IDs and the like
guessing#2: create SATA array, use Windows to software-mirror both arrays, remove SAS mirror, delete SAS one

to complicate things a bit; the new SATA volumes must be aligned to avoid SSD wearing:

eg: for a non-boot basic GPT volume:

convert gpt
create partition align=1024 assign letter=D
select partition 1
detail partition ... if we check offset in bytes; eg: 17,408 bytes % 1024 = 0 ... aligned тИЪ
select partition 2
format fs=NTFS label=whatever unit=4096 quick override
detail partition ... if we check offset in bytes; eg: 135,266,304 bytes % 1024 = 0 ... aligned тИЪ

... any expierences ? any suggestions ?

This has already been discussed in the Feedback board:
