EVA 8000/5000 Continous access, error
We have a setup of 2 EVA's remotely connected via Cisco 9216i switches.
The switches are connected via FCIP.
We have had problems making Continous Access work, between the 2 sites.
I have here a log from the CommandView management machine, that I do not understand, and at the moment we have not rebooted the server.
After this error, I do not have a contact with the CommandView
I wonder if rebooting the CV will result in shutdown of one of the EVA's
---- the error ---
The description for Event ID ( 40000 ) in Source ( HSV ) cannot be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. You may be able to use the /AUXSOURCE= flag to retrieve this description; see Help and Support for details. The following information is part of the event: 10/2/2006 16:01:13; Not Attached To SC Yet; Storage system being shutdown due to a command failure.; 3060.

Re: EVA 8000/5000 Continous access, error
The error does not help. You should use Replication Solutions Manager software to manage the Replication. You should check the status of the EVAs and the EVA logs, not the Windows Event Viewer.
You can reboot the CV and it won't affect the EVA's.
