EVA4100 batteries failed
Hello Gentlemen.
i am installing a new EVA4100(HSV200-B) with only one disk array.
I inserted both controllers, one battery in each, also disk array. then powered on both contollers after powering on the disk array.
both batteries showing failed and should be replaced.
after more than 10 hours, the same error.
i removed both batteries. the shutdown the controller, then power it on one after the other without batteries. the same controller faulty led indicating battery is failed.
i beleave that the batteries went faulty but i realy don;t know the reason.
can anyone offer me a hand of help.
Thanks

Re: EVA4100 batteries failed
If the batteries had not been shut off properly, a 'deep discharge' could have killed them. And batteries do discharge over time as well.
Anyway - you do need replacement batteries, because an EVA does not present any virtual disks without at least one working battery and there is no way to work around this behaviour.
