EVA4400 - minimum disk drives per shelf
Hello,
we want to expand our EVA4400. Is there a minimum number of disks that have to be installed into the new encolsures?
(I know of the 8 disks per diskgroup minimum, and the recommendation to distribute the disks evenly among the enclosures...)
Thanks,
Karsten

Re: EVA4400 - minimum disk drives per shelf
hi,
AFAIK the eva4400 only requires a minimum of 8 drives to start with and there is no minimum number associated with the actual drive shelf so you could have the maximum eight shelves with one disk in each if you wanted.

Re: EVA4400 - minimum disk drives per shelf
I've looked over the quickspecs, but it doesn't seem to specify a number. If I remember correctly, the training guide (which I don't have with me right now) says: 4 (same like all other EVAs).
