First configuration
I have an old 2SL array controller without any CD-Rom or floppy with it. I want to try it on an assembled PC with 2 9.1Gb 10K HDs. How can I configure the 2SL? (I kwon that on HP array controllers there is a built-in utility in the array controller, and IBM has a bootable floppy disk for the first configuration)

Re: First configuration
This cannot be done on an "assembled PC" because there is no ROM chip on the 2SL and it has to be a supported compaq product.
We are here for a good time, not a long time!

Re: First configuration
It works just great. I'm running it on an IBM Netfinity 5000 server. All you have to is to configure the array. The DOS program does not recognize the controller so if you put an IDE or a SCSI HDD (connect the desired hot swap or other SCSI HDD to the 221 array) and install Win2K. Download the win2k array config program. Configure your 221, shut down and remove the IDE or SCSI HDD used to install the OS. Install Win2K again. Win2k has drivers for the 221 (later you can upgrade from www.compaq.com)
