Hourly Resets
About every 60 minutes, the controller (I'm assuming) resets every drive attached to it, one at a time. The only negative effect is file access gets real slow during this time.
PerfMon shows no reads or writes during this time, only that the Disk Queue length goes sky-high.
I'm just trying to understand what is going on.
Thanks.

Re: Hourly Resets
Update: Duplicated the problem without Windows even being loaded. As I suspected, it's occurring from the hardware.
It happens at the same 60 minute interval (though at different times) with the Smart-2DH controller and the RA4000 fibre controller.
(I'd really like to know what is going on)
Compaq?

Re: Hourly Resets
What Server are you using ?
When you say resets exactly what'ss happening ?
During these so call resets , is the server idle during those times ?
If so the Array controller may be performing so Fault Preventive Functions such as " Dynamnic Sector Tracking " Dynamnic Sector Repairing " to name a couple .
