MSA 2000 STorage works
Hi,
I have a msa2000 storage works where 14 146GB sas disks are in the array. I created a vdisk in that with 4 disks in raid 5. When I was trying to expand the vdisk by adding one more disk to the vdisk, it allowed me to do so. But leveling of that disk is taking a lot more time than expected. It took around 24 hours so far and only 70% is done. I could not add other disks also to vdisk now due to busy status of the same. Please guide me on this...

Re: MSA 2000 STorage works
I am not sure what you need. You have a fairly large vdisk using RAID5 parity. RAID5 is not known for its performance. By adding another drive, the RAID set is being rebuilt to accommodate the new space. Given the size, this can expect to take a while. As long as its progressing you shouldn't be too concerned.
