MSA20 disk upgrade
Hi
I have a DL380G4 with 2 x MSA20. Each MSA20 has 12 x 250GB SATA disks. I want to upgrade the disk space as it is used to retain disk to disk backups.
I was looking at 24 x 750GB disks. Is this a supported amount of disk? About 18TB raw space. I have to create equal size arrays and logical drives then I span one partition across this in Windows with dynamic disks.
Is it more cost effective to buy a new server and 3 or 4 MSA60 or 70 shelves to achieve more capacity?
