Need help for replace a failed disk to MSA2000
Recently one of the disk in MSA2212fc is faulty. After replace the disk we found the disk status is AVAIL but all other disk status is VDISK.
# show disks

6 3QP08FA70000990916YZ SEAGATE 0004 VDISK SAS 300 3.0

And I have one vdisk and 4 volume.
Please provide me the action plan / command for add the disk to the existing vdisk. The MSA is not available through web GUI.

Re: Need help for replace a failed disk to MSA2000
You need to take the new disk and put it as a spare in the vdisk.
CLI reference for the MSA2000 is here:
http://bizsupport1.austin.hp.com/bc/docs/support/SupportManual/c02710176/c02710176.pdf
See page 154 for set vdisk-spare
See page 129 for set global-spare
"set vdisk-spare disks 0.5 VD"
More manuals here:
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/DocumentIndex.jsp?contentType=SupportManualтМй=en&cc=us&docIndexId=64179&taskId=101&prodTypeId=12169&prodSeriesId=3687115

What will happen after add the disk as spare? Is it impact on existing volume? ( I have 4 volume). What happened of my data that was available on the failed disk?
