Problem with port config on Smart Array 5i Windows 2003
Hi,
I have a DL380-G3 with a Compaq AIT 50gb hot swappeble tape drive. I configured the scsi card to duplex, so 2 drives are on Port2 ID 0 & 1 and the tape drive is on Port1 ID 5.
During the boot process I can verify that it is actually like that. When I use Array Configuration util I also see that the tape is on port 1 ID 5. However when I check the registry of Win2k3, HKLM\HARDWARE\DEVICEMAP\Scsi It shows that the tape is on port 2, instead of port 1.
This is probably the cause of problems I have with Veritas Backup Exec.
Anyone ideas?
Thanks,
Ramon
