Remove faulty disk from array without physical access to enclosure

Hi,

I have a MSA2212fc with an extra enclosure. One of the hard disk is reporting errors. I don't have physical access to the device. I have a global hot spare assigned.

How can I 'remove' the faulty disk without physical acess to the enclosure?
