Smart Array 3200

We have a Compaq Proliant 3000 with 6 36.4 GB Drives internally, we want to add an external 4314 cage with a further 6 * 36.4 drives to the Smart array 3200 controller, can this be done without further hardware purchase. The board is single channel internally.

Hi
With the SA3200, you have 2 daughter boards delivered.
So I presume that at the moement, you have the Single port board installed, giving you 1 internal channel and 1 external channel.
You should be OK
