Smart Array Controller 642
Hello
I would like to configure the following arrays on this controller
Raid 1 and Raid 10 on the same controller
Raid 1 will condsist of 2 x 72 drives
Raid 10 will consist of 4 x 72 drives
I understand that this controller has internal and external connectors, i would like to keeps this internal.
Is it possible to configure these two arrays on the one channel
Thank you in advance

Re: Smart Array Controller 642
Hi,
I think it should support as in the SA642 quick specs I see that it does support Raid 1 and Raid 1+0, and should be on the same channel as there is only 1 external channel (if you connecting to an external array), internally also there is only 1 channel available. So I don`t see any issues in configuring it.
I hope it answers your query.
Andy.

Thankyou for your response
I just need to confirm that i can have 2 different raid configurations on the one channel. I am getting the impression that it can be done with this controller but i would like to make sure.
