Re: upgrade eva4100
AFAIK it's not possible. The EVA3000 uses M5314A enclosures and you have to use M5314C enclosures for a EVAx100.

Re: upgrade eva4100
Is there no way to upgrade an M5314A to
M5314C by changing or replacing the EMU

Re: upgrade eva4100
AFAIK you can replace the EMUs, but you should log a call at HP for clarification. Maybe another forum member knows it better. :)

Re: upgrade eva4100
The M5314A can be converted to a M5314C by replacing the I/O modules and EMU. Then you'll have to add two HSV200 / HSV210 controllers and loop-switches.
See attached doc.

SolutionI/O Module A : 364549-009
I/O Module B : 364548-009
EMU : 375393-005
The EVA3000/5000 are still on support if they have 3110 or 4100 firmwares. No new firmwares are planned. No end of support data for the moment, but they are being retired and replaced by new EVAs in many customers.
