Bonjour,
Sur un Compaq Evo N440C au bout j'ai un message
1782 Disk Controler Failure

Malgres une mise a jour du Bios(686W du 08/03/04), j'ai toujour l'erreur
Lors du diagnostic du disque dur... SMART erreur

Y a T il une solution ?

Hello,

As it says - 1782 is a disk controller failure. For some reason your Deskpro thinks the disk is bad. It's not related to the use of "non-Compaq" software, although it could be the use of "non Compaq" settings.

Compaq is different from most manufacturers in the way they configure the hard disks.

Make sure that your disk is jumpered for CS (cable select) and installed using a CS cable. If the cable has more than two connectors, put the disk you want as master on the connector at the end of the cable.

It's also possible that your drive could be defective
