about disk state switch

Hi,

Any idea how many times for a SCSI disk to switch state from idle state to standby state, and back and forth?

Sorry for the confusion of above question.

when there is no request for a certain period, a disk may spin down to standby state from idle state, and spin up to serve request when a request arrives.

then, my question is :

usually, how many times is a SCSI disk able to switch state from idle state to standby state, and back and forth?
