C2430 raid array bad module

I have a C2430 raid array that was created under UX 9.x, and is now running on an UX10.x box. Just recently, the status lites on the raid array came up showing a problem with "Module 3". I don't know which that is, and SAM says it cannot diagnose the array.
The only docs I have is an HP booklet "Operating Information", which does not talk about the status lites or give any info about running the raid utilities from the command line.

Is there any info out there that will help me diagnose this problem? I guess I want to run a parity check and then rebuild the array if necessary.
TIA

Re: C2430 raid array bad module

Scott,

Module 3 is found by counting from the front left of the array. Looking down from the top, moving in a counter-clockwise direction to the back. Front left is 0. If your array is fully populated, you should have mechanisms 0-4. Hence, module 3 should be the left most module when viewing from the rear. Further, there should be a light on the module handle if it is indeed having a problem.

If memory serves correctly, you will want to use the STM (support tool manager) in either the 'X' (GUI or Xwindow), 'C' (command line), or 'M' (Menu). Once there, you will need to run the SCSIARRAY utility. I'm not sure but I think you need an "HP ONLY" password to access this utility.

I haven't located any service manuals or other documentation but if I do, I'll let you know.

HTH,

Re: C2430 raid array bad module

Here is a reference page that i have that can be useful. It contains several commands for managing these arrays.

The commands can be found in:
/usr/sbin/hpC2400
