Can anyone tell me how to change the SCSI ID of one A4800A to ID 6, & also how to disable termination on the cards.
Thanks in advance.

get into SPU's PDC and check if this card can be tuned using its 'SCSI' command

Have already checked the SCSI command in the Service menu, & it doesn't see the cards.
The io command in the information menu sees the cards. Same on both machines, & another L class.
Have checked the cards for jumper/ switches but there are none.

Solutionif you just enter scsi in the service menu
it will display only settings which have already been made.
So you need to put down the HW path of your card e.g. 0/6/0/0 before you enter the menu
then enter
scsi id 0/6/0/0 6
enter
scsi
and it will list the setting you just made
enter
scsi term 0/6/0/0 off
if this is wrong you'll get an error message indicating valid syntax....
(I think there should also be "scsi delete

Re: Changing SCSI ID's & termination on A4800A's.
Many thanks for the info, SCSI ID's now set OK.
Regarding termination. I must have been pretty tired last night, but it wasn't until I got home that it registered that the A4800A's have internal terminating plugs!
Everything now looks OK.

Sorry about the lack of points, I'm still trying to get used to the forum.
Full marks though!
