Compaq Persario 5000 Disk Imaging
Greetings,
Have a Compaq Presario 5000 running Windows XP. Tried to image the C: drive over to another larger hard drive, but when I try to boot the new drive I get a blank screen. I used Norton Ghost to image the drives and I did make sure to select the copy boot option. The drives register fine in BIOS, and I know it will support a 30 Gig drive. I had one tech tell me that Compaq drives can only be imaged at the factory, but that doesn't seem right to me. I have little experience with Compaqs, so any insight would be appreciated.
Sincerely,
ckangas
