DC5000 and SIIG raid controller

Anybody used the SIIG Ultra 133 raid controller in a DC5000? I can't seem to get it to boot to any drives attached to this controller. On boot up the controller and drives are recognized, but the system generates a "disk read error occurred" on boot up. Tried disabling anything in the bios related to the IDE controllers with no change.
