Disk cloning
I have problem with cloning a harddrive on a HP Compaq NC8000. I use Powerquest DiskImage to clone the disk. A errorsign occurs during cloneprocess that says something about the harddrive cylinders not matching up.
Is there a known problem running a cloneprogram on Notebooks?
Regards,
Nicklas

Re: Disk cloning
This is a generic problem, not specific to Notebook.
If the two disk are not same, or are same but managed in a different way, you can have this king of trouble.
The disk drives now have some setting that mask the true Cylindre and Head, in order to make them more efficent, if the bios of your system do not manage the two disk in the same way, it may see different capacity and/or different geomety.
I would refer to the Diskimage support in order to know whu you do not succeed with cloning.
