Disk Compatability Matrix
I was wondering if there are any documents available which list hardware compatability matrices.
We have a HAS storage array connected to a D class server which currently has 4 18Gb SEAGATE ST318404LC model disks installed and has 4 free slots. We are also decommissioning another D Class server which has 3 internal 18Gb SEAGATE ST318436LC model disks.
We would like to be able to verify if the '486LC model disks are similar to the '404LC disks and are compatible with the HAS storage box.

hi yes they are compatible.
hp used both those mechs in the modules for the 18gb disks.
The only difference is the correct part number.
A5528A was the D class ordering part number
A5286A was the Hass box ordering part number.
either one could have either mech inside the module.
