Disk to use for L1000

All the recommended internal disks (18GB, 36GB, 73GB) for L1000 are no longer supplied but I found the internal 15krpm ultra320 disks(36GB, 73GB)rp54x0 are available. Will it fit in and work in L1000 disk slots?

Hi,

Ultra 320 is backward compatible with earlier SCSI standards (except for HVD) so, technicaly it will work. I belive you must use some kind of mounting kit for the L1000.

I have used 15K U320 drives in A-class servers without any problem.

It works fine.
It is backwards compabile.
You just need the good brackets

referring to the link below, you even can put a *supported* 146GB disk (A7080A) in your L-Class.
