Driver Failure - Amber/Orange LED Lights

I just bought six drives off eBay, four work and have been configured properly, but two just light up their orange lights. Tried reinserting and changing position to no avail. What are the likely causes of these faults and is there anything I can do to fix? They are under the sellers '30 day warranty', so should I just return them?

What does ADU say?

Re: Driver Failure - Amber/Orange LED Lights

It says;

SLOT 2 SMART-2DH CONTROLLER ERROR REPORT:

No problems detected

It doesn't seem to even acknowledge that they exist. :(

Re: Driver Failure - Amber/Orange LED Lights

The server is a Proliant 3000.

The new drives are Compaq 18.2GB Wide Ultra SCSI-3 (104660-001) 7200 RPM 1.0 inch high standard form factor drives.

Only the working ones are mentioned in either the Configuration or Diagnostic utlilties. Neither utility detects the faulty drives.

Send them back, you have nothing to lose.
