FC10 supported connections

I want to connect 2 rp5450 with 2 FC card each, to the 4 FC port of a FC10, using
the primary and the extension port.
In this way I have primary and alternate link
on both servers in a cluster configuration without hubs.
Does anybody know if it is a supported configuration ?

Re: FC10 supported connections

No, this isn't a supported configuration for a cluster... The problem is that without a hub, the hosts themselves become single points of failure in the arbitrated loop - when one of the hosts fails, both loops will be broken. I nearly made the same mistake myself. You do need hubs for this to work.

Click http://www.hp.com/cposupport/manindex/hpsurestor19182_eng_man.html and see the topologies in the manual.

Hope this helps,
