Firmware update ?

Hi,
I was search on compaq site for my hdd, a compaq BC0367237A for a firmware update. I'm currently running version bcjc of firmware and i saw somewhere that there is a bjc1 firmware... As my computer is not compaq at all, just the hdd, i can't install option rom paq. So, i'm wondering how i can update my hdd if it's possible.

The option rompaq you need is sp17870 available at the following link. You need boot from the 1st then use disk 2 through 8 for the drives. The BC0367237A si a 36.4 Seagate
