hard drive A5726AX

I recently buy a used Hitachi DKR1B-J47SC hard drive and there is nothing about this product on Hitachi web site, but... on the back of the drive there is a HP part number tag: A5726AX

the question is: Can I use this hard drive for standard SCSI applications???

when I connect the drive to my SCSI bus seems to be ok, but neither windows 2000, nor Linux can allocate partitions on it

please some one help

thanks

Re: hard drive A5726AX

Sorry, that A5726AX / Hatachi DKR1B-J47SC hard drive is from an XP-256 disk array and is probably not formatted for use in anything else. It probably doesn't have firmware that will allow it to be formatted any other way either.

Plan for the future and tomorrow will take care of itself.
