Hard Drive Good or Bad?
When I run Compaq Diagnostics on my Presario 5465 I get the message: Hard Drive 1: Drive Protection System Test...failed, error code 017037001...Recommended Action: Replace Drive.
But when I run the Built-In Technician and give it the above information the B-I Tech. can find no problem.
The only symptom is that I usually cannot switch to web sites using hyperlinks, but can (usually) get there by entering in the Address Bar or by Bookmarks. Using hyperlinks I often get a transparent box with a "Microsoft Blank" title. Some sites I cannot get to at all.
How do I know if my Presario needs to go to the 'hospital' and get a hard drive transplant? Is this "Microsoft Blank" problem connected, or is it another problem all together?
