HP A3312A and disk capacities

My A3312A has three 4.3 GB disks in it now; am I limited as to what capacity disks can go in there, and can I mix?

Re: HP A3312A and disk capacities

Now another question - I've been told the 18GB drive takes two slots in the box. There are two columns, each with 4 slots. I have three 4 GB drives now, so the top slot of the first column is open, and the second column is all open.

Do drives need to be contiguously installed, or can I just put that 18GB drive at the bottom of the 2nd column, leaving the top slot of the first column open?

Re: HP A3312A and disk capacities

It's ok to have slots open (at least there're no filler panels to close it).
'Big' (half-height) drives are:
A5239A 18GB
A3649A 9GB
'little' (low-profile) drives are:
A5238A/A5285A 9GB
A5286A 18GB
