Given a network without contention, what throughtput could be REALISTICALLY expected from network attached storage (NAS) ?

Because the netstorage product is a disk array attached to an ultra scsi2 interface the max throughput will be 40mb/s the actual performance will vary depending on the array configuration and the type of application used.
