Incorrect drive size

I am attempting to install a compaq ultra wide scsi 3 18.2 drive in a non compaq PC using a sca scsi converter but although the bios is recognoising the correct hard drive type windows reports the hard drive size as 4 GB not 18.2 GB. Anybody have a similar problem or any possible solutions

Re: Incorrect drive size

What version of Windows? If you are talking NT... the boot partition is limited to that size, I believe... if 95OSR2 / 98, format in FAT32. If you want NT-style stability, use WIN2K, or use 2 partitions...

Re: Incorrect drive size

Actually - the OS is Win2K (based on his message), but what controller is involved?
