Largest supported EIDE Drive.
I have an older Compaq Presario SR1720NX desktop which has the ASUS A8AE-LE / AmberineM-GL6E motherboard. The processor and video card have been upgraded and the SATA controller on the mother board is defective. So I'm using the EIDE controller for my internal hard drives. The system is running Windows XP Service Pack 2.
I'm out of space and need to upgrade the second 160 gig non-OS data only d: internal hard drive. Will this system support a 750mb ultra ATA/100 (eide) hard drive as a single partition under Windows XP?
Thanks
/Roger
