Netserver Rack Storage 12 / Windows 2003
Hi,
we want to switch our HP Netserver Rack Storage 12 to a Server running Windows 2003. The product page only mentions Windows 2000. Is Windows 2003 supported?
Regards Sebastian

(posting my reply here again for the same subject)
Sebastian,
the only Netservers that support W2K3 are the TC3xxx and TC4xxx ones and if you go and look for drivers on hp.com for those servers, you also find the one below which is just a dummy driver for W2K3 so that the SAFTE controller in the RS/12 gets somehow recognized and not longer seen as a unknow device.
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?locale=en_US〈=English&pnameOID=78194&prodSeriesId=78192&prodTypeId=15351&basePartNum=COL3508&locBasepartNum=ns-12149-1&os=Microsoft+Windows+Server+2003&tech=Software&attTypeId=110
Given the above i would say you're ok to use the RS/12 on W2K3 but for a fully supported config it would have to be with Netservers that are of the TCxxx family not the L or E series, not sure which server type you're going to connect the RS/12 to.
