Older Hp Drives

I am looking for a 18GB Fwd disk drive for a K-460 does anyone know were I can find this disk? Hp does not make them anymore and all of the hp dealers I contacted did not have any.

No one is making FWD (wide HVD) drives, and haven't for years. You will have to look for used units. Google on used HP equipment and you should find used HP equipment resellers. With 180 MHz processors, the K460 could be replaced with a single processor system today. HW and SW support costs would be a fraction for a new system, so it might be cost effective to consider an upgrade.

i bought one month ago a 20 gig fwd drive from him. he should has another one in stock. it was manufactured by seagate and is running quite well in hp9000 modell 755.

Hi

8 months ago i had this need with a T520 machine
I bought 2 36Gb 10rpm seagate SCSI-160 and a HVD-LVD converter from

you can use it with this converter, but i don't remember if you will have enough space to put inside the disks cage of you K machine.
