Questions on DS2100
1) What is the largest disk drive that is available for the ds2100?
2) Can the DS2100 and the newer DS2110 or DS2120 be connected on the same interface? Are the interface the same?
3) How many of the DS2100, DS2110 or DS2120 be connected together on one interface? I understand each unit can host 4 disk drives.
thx in advance.

Re: Questions on DS2100

73GB 10Krpm &36Gb 15Krpm

I'm not sure, but seems ok.. ( because DS21xx is just a passive external storage box with a common backplane for 3 hdds)
3) How many of the DS2100, DS2110 or DS2120 be connected together on one interface? I understand each unit can host 4 disk drives
You can connect 3 DS21xx daisy chained - by selecting the enclosure selection switch to A,B,C ( each enclosure must be selected to A or B or C)- So total 12 Hard disk you can connect in one channel.
Remember to put the terminator at the last free SCSI port.

Shameer

Re: Questions on DS2100
http://h18006.www1.hp.com/products/quickspecs/12025_div/12025_div.html#Family%20Comparison
It lists all supported configuration:
divide maximum capacity by 4 and you will get a max disk size of 73GB for ds2100, 146 GB for ds2110 and 300 GB for ds2120.
Unsupported disks may work, but they are unsupported ;-)
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.
